As a caregiver, you put yourself second.
It is of the utmost importance to remember that if you don’t care for yourself first and formost, you will not be able to care for your loved one.
Try getting a manicure, going out to eat, doing yoga, reading a book. Something to take your mind off Cancer and the pain you are going through — tend to yourself.
Most of all, remember to breathe. Close your eyes. Try taking 3 deep breaths, slowly. Do this if it helps throughout the day.
Cancer can run you down and tear you to pieces. Find someone objective to talk to or an outlet to relieve some of your burden.
